Shoalhaven Birding

I have been birding in the Shoalhaven for 20 years and look forward to your company and taking you birding in this diverse and beautiful part of Australia. Rich in flora and fauna, the Shoalhaven is home to the Rockwarbler (Origma solitaria), the only endemic bird species found in NSW. Other Shoalhaven locals include Eastern Bristlebird, Eastern Ground Parrot, Chestnut-rumped Heathwren, Spotted Quail-thrush, Pilotbird, Gang-gang and Glossy Black Cockatoo, Australian Logrunner, & Red-browed Treecreeper.

The region is varied from dry woodland and coastal heath, wetlands, and tidal estuaries, to mountain rainforests. Specialized, General and Beginners bird tours are available.  Itineraries are tailored to find your target bird species or visit habitats of interest. Small private tours cater from one to three people, but larger groups may be possible so please get in touch. A spotting scope is available during most tours.

Pick-up is generally within 15 minutes from Berry, NSW unless other arrangements are made. Most local hotspots and birding locations are within 30-90 minutes of Berry. Half Day tours may be extended at the hourly rate.
