Springbrook Cockatoos Cabin
Springbrook Cockatoos Cabin is across the road from a World Heritage Listed national park in Gondwana land, behind the Gold Coast. Purlingbrook Falls Track runs in front of the house, with views over the forest to the Gold Coast and Pacific Ocean below. According to the Queensland Department of Environment and Science, over 300 birds live in the surrounding area. Possible sightings include: King Parrots, Whipbirds, Black Cockatoos, Satin Bowerbirds, Albert’s Lyrebird, Green Catbird, Rufous Scrub-bird, Red-browed Treecreeper, Eastern Bristlebird, and so on.
